Intro to GIS Principles and Working with Historic Data in GIS

This workshop will introduce you to basic cartography principles, focusing on how to find and create historic basemaps that can be used with various mapping tools. We will cover the software options for mapping outlining their pros and cons, so you can start using your own maps with the software options available to you.
This workshop has no pre-reqs.
It is open to the public as part of Boston DH events, but please register because space is limited (30)!
