Arcgis provides a tool for automating your work. This can be important for two reasons: 1) It documents complex processes for you and 2) it allows you to run a simple or complex process on multiple datasets easily. This is a hands on workshop and you need to be comfortable using Arcgis /Arcmap to complete the workshop.
