This two-day bootcamp (Jan 26-27) is designed for researchers in the Biology Department who are new to programming with Python or interested in learning the basics of Python for data analysis. First-year Biology students who will enroll in 7.571 Quantitative Analysis for Biological Data are highly encouraged to attend, as we will focus on the skills required to successfully complete the course assignments and get the most out of the course content.

This bootcamp will be using a modified curriculum from The Carpentries, Programming with Python lessons. You can access the unrevised lesson content here: https://swcarpentry.github.io/python-novice-inflammation/index.html

The workshop is taught by Carpentries@MIT team at the MIT Libraries.

Participants should attempt to attend both sessions and will be expected to bring their own laptop to each session. No prep work or prior experience with programming is required.
