This workshop will give you an introduction to AI tools for the research process, including tools for doing literature reviews, summarizing publications, and completing specific research tasks.

We will discuss evaluating these tools for their appropriateness for your task; how different prompts can generate different answers; and how these tools could aid your research and learning. We’ll focus on tools based on large language models.

This workshop will be in-person in the Hayden Library Nexus. We’ll do some demonstrations and will also have some hands-on time in the workshop. Registration is open to MIT affiliates; snacks will be provided.
