This workshop is designed to introduce spatial machine learning workflows that leverage ESRI Data Science Notebooks. Topics will include representing, mapping and visualizing spatial data in Python, leveraging external libraries, and using arcgis.learn module for deep learning models. Registration is restricted to MIT affiliates.

About the Instructor:

Orhun Aydin received his PhD and MSc in Spatial Statistics from Stanford University. He has expertise in predictive statistics, spatial analysis and machine and deep learning as it pertains to spatial analysis. In ESRI, Orhun works as a researcher to develop and prototype new methodologies to further the capabilities of the ArcGIS platform in the areas of spatial statistics and machine learning. He is also a Product Engineer in R-ArcGIS Bridge team and a collaborator within ESRI’s science and GeoAI initiatives.
