Wikipedia@25: 25 years of the open free encyclopedia

Join us for a celebration, symposium and exploration of Wikipedia, the online free encyclopedia, as it turns 25 years old. Founded on January 15, 2001, Wikipedia has become a foundational part of the Internet, an information resource in 300+ languages that is used by millions around the world. Today, Wikipedia’s volunteer and user-generated model is operating in an Internet landscape of AI, misinformation, and short-form videos. How can Wikipedia remain reliable and relevant, and provide the world’s information for the next 25 years and beyond? Join us for a day-long celebration and symposium, featuring talks from long-time Wikipedians, a streaming international celebration, and a chance to have hands-on interactions with games and tools based on Wikipedia.
