Are you curious what open science is, or how it can be beneficial for science - or your career? How can you work more openly, and what resources at MIT exist to help you be an open scientist?

Join Dr. Kevin Moerman (MIT Media Lab), Phoebe Ayers and Katie Zimmerman (MIT Libraries) for an exploration of these topics and more. We'll cover:

  • What open science practices are and why working openly can help you -- and help reproducibility in science
  • Open access publishing and open access resources at MIT
  • Techniques and resources for sharing data, software and hardware designs openly
  • How to make your work citable to get the credit you deserve

All are welcome. Lunch will be served; registration required. Sponsored by the MIT Libraries.
