Bad visualizations. We’ve all seen them and probably even made them. But what makes a figure for publication or presentation good? What are the common pitfalls and how do you avoid them? This workshop will delve into the common traps in making visualizations that can leave your audience guessing or misinformed. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how to identify and tackle their own figure hiccups.

This workshop builds off of the concepts covered in the Data Visualization: Introduction to Principles and Tools workshop on Jan. 28th. While attending both workshops is encouraged, it is not required.
