Accessing satellite imagery using the Planet database
Event box
Planet is a database to which members of the MIT community have access for obtaining world imagery at a 3m-5m resolution. In this demonstration you will learn:
- the types of imagery available
- how to use the Planet Explorer to download images
- where to find documentation for additional tools, such as the API and GIS add-on
If you would like a Planet account and do not already have one, email gishelp@mit.edu. We can also help you analyze the data in GIS once it is downloaded.
If you have specific questions you would like answered during the session, email murack@mit.edu.
A Zoom link will be emailed to participants before the session. Please register with your .mit.edu email address.
