SA+P Copyright, Fair Use and Creative Commons Workshop, Part 1

SA+P students create copyrightable works of art, architecture, and design all the time, and also need to make use of things created by others. Do you know your rights? How to legally use other’s work, and protect or share your own?

This workshop is the first in a two-part series exploring copyright, fair use, public domain, Creative Commons, and responsible reuse of content for creators. This part of the series will focus on copyright in objects you might create professionally - art, designs, and architecture - while the second session will focus on academic publication. In this session, we will explore using traditional knowledge or data from marginalized communities, adapting ideas and content created by others, and protecting your own work.

Come empower yourself to gain agency in the copyright system.

Anyone can attend.

RSVPs required.
