What does it mean to be a Reflective Practitioner?
Event box
In this two-part workshop, each 90-minutes, we answer the question: What does it take to be a Reflective Practitioner? Several self-assessment tools beneficial to both teachers and learners are highlighted. When we intentionally reflect and think about what we do, our emotional intelligence increases exponentially with our self-awareness. This workshop will move us in that direction. Utilizing various metaphorical perspectives participants will experiment with tools that promote self-awareness.
The 1st session focuses on what it means to be a Reflective Practitioner, self-assessment tools needed to engage in the practice, and how to give, receive, and ask for helpful feedback.
The 2nd workshop asks participants to identify and reflect on a specific situation using a self-assessment tool from the 1st session. We will share our learnings and evaluate the effectiveness of the tools you chose. Enrollment in this session does not obligate or confirm your attendance in the December session.
