SUMMARY:GIS Level 1: Introduction to GIS & Mapping
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to read and interpret maps and data and use basic 
 cartography principles to create maps that can be used in reports and 
 presentations. You will have the option of completing short exercises using 
 QGIS or ArcGIS Pro as well as a longer exercise after the workshop for 
 additional learning.\n\nMIT touchstone authentication is required to 
 register. You will need to be in MIT's covidpass and have campus access to 
 attend. Bring your MIT ID to tap into the GIS & Data Lab.The mobile ID will 
 not work. Software and workshop materials will be installed on the GIS Lab 
 computers so you do not need to bring a laptop.
